Global Human Settlements Foundation (GHSF) is a 501(3) tax-exempt public charity, legally chartered on November 29, 2023, in the State of New York, USA. The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes.
Mission
Promoting a greener, healthier and more livable planet for all.
Purpose
The purpose of the Foundation is to promote global sustainable development by encouraging and rewarding scientific innovation and leadership on sustainable cities and human settlements for all and on mitigation and adaption to climate change. Hence, mainly the Foundation is organized to receive contributions and make donations to the Global Forum on Human Settlements and its activities, initiatives as well as the Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Awards, which is a 501 (c)(3) public charity in the Special Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC.
Fundraising
Organizing events, campaigns, and initiatives to raise funds from individuals, corporations, and other entities
Grantmaking
Providing financial support to GFHS and its initiatives, other nonprofit organizations, and projects that align with the foundation's mission.
Program Development
Designing and implementing programs and initiatives aimed at addressing specific issues, such as working together with GFHS on its annual session of Global Forum on Human Settlements and its Awards ceremony, and more.
